About The Position

The role of Site Manager in PM directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As a Site Manager at Project Management, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading wind farm projects from ideation through to completion while interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Requirements

Experience in quality management and quality control processes; wind turbine assembly experience preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process.
Manage personnel and interface with the client.
Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and the public.
Manage several activities at once; organize and prioritize work; meet deadlines and prepare reports.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Properly use applicable safety equipment, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a safe working environment.
Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline or equivalent related work experience accepted; WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.
A PMP Certification or ability to receive one within the first year of employment is preferred.
wind farm mechanical construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manages and coordinates all the activities during the delivery, erection, and commissioning phases of the WTG from the beginning of the project to the Final Certification by the Owner.
Coordinates with the contractor the mobilization of all heavy equipment on-site including cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment, and transportation equipment
Organizes and tracks all the quality control, transportation, and engineering documents for the project.
Prepares daily and weekly job progress reports to be reviewed by upper management.
Ensure that all parts are delivered to the site complete and on time so as not to interfere with the construction schedule.
Interact with clients during wind farm construction.
Monitors/tracks the construction schedule to ensure it meets all contractual obligations.
