About The Position

Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Maintenance Technician to join their team on Maui. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of the facility's equipment and systems, ensuring optimal operation and safety. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. They currently perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Kaua'i, O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i island. They also offer restoration services for various issues, including water damage, fire damage, and mold remediation on Oahu.

Requirements

Must pass HBM prescreen check
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license
Reliable vehicle
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Must have basic hand tools
General preventative maintenance experience required
Troubleshooting abilities
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Good public relations skills and communication
Customer service oriented
Strong organizational skills
Must perform basic manual labor
Must clean common areas
Frequently lift, press, push, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs. (up to 75lbs.)
Able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up and down a stairway, climb up/down a ladder and stand throughout their shift
