As a Site HSE professional, you will ensure that legal requirements and other requirements of the Valeo Group are identified, established, and implemented. You will also ensure that the management system put in place contributes to continuous improvement in performance. In accordance with the country's regulations and Group requirements, and certified Management System, the role of the HSE Professional/Engineer is to organize and manage all internal and external risks. This includes checking that safety and security equipment are in compliance with requirements and in good condition, carrying out risk analysis and monitoring regulatory surveys, establishing the site “Health, Safety, Security and Environment” operation procedures and overseeing their application, carrying out inspections and internal audits, making recommendations and specifying corresponding actions as well as the responsibility for implementing them, and implementing and monitoring actions relating to the handling of any non-compliance revealed by inspections, internal audits and external audits, taking the necessary investments into account. You will also be aware of developments in legislation and escalate any potential non-compliance. Technically, you will ensure continuously that all buildings, processes, equipment, machines, installations, devices, materials, and products of the site present the minimum hazard, through involvement upstream of projects, the issuance of HSE specifications, reception, and the audit of these means on a continuous basis. You will also be responsible for planning and monitoring the implementation of all corrective or preventative improvement actions in the technical field following internal/external audits, inspections, and exchange of best practices. The Site HSE Professional/Engineer acts as a Valeo Work Coordinator and Ergonomics Leader. Organizationally, you will analyze and update the regulatory compliance of its site and maintain it continuously. You will perform risk assessments for all HSE fields on the site, including emergency mode, non-prescribed/unplanned work such as contractor works, unplanned maintenance, deviation to validated process, and each deviation is captured in a database with an updated mitigation plan to cover deviation lead time. In each area, you will set up manuals, procedures, instructions, visual standards, and signs. You will ensure an audit by OJT that safety tools and safety standards are adapted, known, understood, applied, and enforced by management. You will communicate internally (managers and employee representatives) and externally (authorities, inspectors, neighbors, other companies, etc.) on HSE issues. You will assess and monitor safety risks from deviations to standard and monitor incidents and accidents on the site using QRQC. Behaviorally, you will develop manager safety skills using Safety First, Risk Hunting, Safety Talks, and Safety Briefing tools to be certified and autonomous leadership in safety. You will train people to react in emergency and unexpected situations.
