About The Position

The Site Finance Manager provides financial and operational insight and guidance to improve performance and process efficiency in a distribution center environment. The role supports accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables, as well as operational analysis of warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and throughput. The manager works with operations, Finance, HR, Accounting, and Commercial Finance teams and represents DHL Supply Chain in customer discussions about billing, strategy, and budgets. The role may support multiple sites or customers and includes complex commercial topics such as billing parameters, flexible budgeting, KPI penalties or incentives, and gain-share or pain-share arrangements. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or four years of equivalent work experience.
At least five years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
Logistics industry experience.
Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
Advanced accounting knowledge, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Advanced communication and presentation skills, from C-suite stakeholders to warehouse personnel.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and work as a team player.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical support for accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, and payables.
Analyze operational activities, including warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and throughput.
Conduct customer meetings as a representative of DHL Supply Chain, leading discussions on billing, strategy, and budgets.
Support complex commercial discussions, including billing parameters, flexible budgeting, KPI penalties and incentives, and gain-share or pain-share arrangements.
Provide information requested by external customers regarding customer invoices.
Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure required approvals are obtained before payment.
Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements; identify accessorial activity and ensure necessary documentation.
Work with Finance and HR associates, providing day-to-day support and assistance.
Support the Kronos application and setup to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
Provide analytical support to General Managers, Managers, Supervisors, and operations personnel as needed.
Participate in daily activities that support a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
Work directly with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments.
Prepare month-end close accrual and reclassification journal entries.
Assist with accounts receivable processing and collection.
Assist with accounts payable processing.
Reconcile purchase orders to support expense recognition.
Prepare daily and weekly labor analysis reports for operations productivity analysis.
Participate in collecting performance measurements required by customers, vendors, and the site.
