About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for Fly War Eagle, a site dedicated to the Auburn Tigers. The Site Expert will focus on building a vibrant community and providing fresh daily content, aiming to be the most knowledgeable source for Auburn Tigers fandom. The role involves offering a mix of news and opinionated analysis, with an emphasis on unique content. Site Experts receive compensation based on article and site traffic, with rates varying by traffic, experience, and the specific site. The role requires publishing a minimum of 50 articles per month, with the Site Expert personally writing 20-30 articles. Responsibilities include supporting contributing writers by editing their articles, providing feedback, and suggesting topics. The Site Expert will also manage the site's social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans. Strong English writing skills are essential. FanSided is a rapidly expanding fan-focused digital media network featuring fan-driven content across sports, entertainment, and lifestyle. It offers opportunities for both experienced writers and newcomers to digital media. Contributors are independent contractors who share their passion and knowledge.
Requirements
- Must be able to write clearly and effectively in English.
- Must be able to strategize content efforts.
- Must be able to lead a site that publishes a minimum of 50 total articles each calendar month.
- Must personally write a minimum of 20 articles each month, with most writing between 25-30.
- Must support contributors on their team by editing their articles, offering feedback as needed, and suggesting topic ideas.
- Must help with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and creatively engaging with other fans.
