About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for Sounders Nation, a site dedicated to the Seattle Sounders. The role involves building a vibrant community, providing fresh daily content, and being a knowledgeable source for readers. The Site Expert will offer a mix of news and opinionated analysis, aiming to provide unique content. While FanSided offers support, the Site Expert will strategize content efforts. Compensation is based on article and site traffic, with rates varying by traffic, experience, and site. The role requires publishing a minimum of 50 articles per month, with the Site Expert personally writing 25-30. Responsibilities include editing contributor articles, providing feedback, suggesting topics, and managing the site's social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans. Strong English writing skills are essential. FanSided is a growing digital media network with opportunities for both experienced writers and newcomers, featuring fan-driven content across sports, entertainment, and lifestyle.

- Personally write a minimum of 20 articles each month (most write 25-30).
- Support contributors by editing their articles.
- Offer feedback to contributors as needed.
- Suggest topic ideas to contributors.
- Help with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles.
- Creatively engage with other fans on social media.
