About The Position

Zero Gravity Basketball is the largest basketball tournament operator on the East Coast, operating in 26 states and producing over 175 events per year. As part of the 3 Step Sports LLC team, which operates over 1,000 events annually, there is consistent work available for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enter the competitive sports industry with a rapidly growing company, with potential for internal advancement. The Site Director serves as the on-site liaison for Zero Gravity Basketball, responsible for various operational and customer-facing duties during weekend events.

Requirements

  • Strong desire to work in sports
  • Ability and willingness to work for prolonged periods
  • Available to work majority or all Zero Gravity Basketball Events
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel up to an hour for an event
  • Willingness to handle confrontational situations
  • Excellent conflict management skills
  • Ability to properly handle cash
  • Management skills required

Responsibilities

  • Entering scores into tourneymachine.com
  • Answering customer questions about the tournament
  • Posting videos and photos to social media platforms
  • Handling money and following proper money handling procedures
  • Filling out the Site Director Reconciliation Form
  • Filling out Injury Report Forms for serious injuries
  • Proper handling and care of Zero Gravity equipment and supplies
  • Communicating with coaches, referees, customers, facility staff, and others to resolve conflicts
  • Communicating Zero Gravity rules to referees and coaches
  • Ensuring courts run on time
  • Communicating with the Tournament Director about major issues or relevant information
  • Setup and breakdown of the facility
  • Managing other Weekend Event Staff at the facility
  • Performing other tasks as required by the Tournament Director
