About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students. The Site Director role offers the opportunity to lead a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Track 1: High School Diploma/GED & 15 Units - High school graduation or GED. - Completion of 15 semester (or equivalent quarter) units at an accredited college or university, distributed as follows: - 3 units in administration or staff relations. - 12 units covering child/human growth and development, child/family/community, and program/curriculum. - At least four years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group program.
  • Track 2: Associate of Arts Degree - AA degree from an accredited college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development. - 3 semester units must be in administration or staff relations. - At least two years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group program.
  • Track 3: Bachelor's Degree - BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development. - 3 semester units must be in administration or staff relations. - At least one year of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group program.
  • Track 4: Credentialing Permit - A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or a Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
