Site Design Project Manager
About The Position
Multi-state design firm is seeking a Site Design Project Manager for their team in Sioux City! This role involves managing the financial success of projects, ensuring timely completion, and leading complex contract negotiations. The Project Manager will execute project plans, assemble and manage project teams, and coordinate internal resources. Responsibilities include assigning tasks based on technical skills, monitoring progress against scope, schedule, and budget, managing change requests, and implementing risk management strategies. Building and maintaining client relationships, documenting project deliverables, and mentoring junior staff are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or landscape architecture
- 6+ years of experience in site design and development
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Landscape Architect
- Project management experience including scope, schedule, and budget control
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Manage financial success of projects through the development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure projects completed on a timely basis
- Manages complex contract negotiations
- Lead the execution of project plans
- Assemble/manage project teams
- Coordinate availability of internal resources
- Assign individual responsibilities ensuring technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project objectives
- Ensure deliverables fall within established scope, schedule, and budget through monitoring progress and measuring project performance
- Manage change requests, execute risk management techniques, and implement strategies to minimize negative financial impact to the project
- Coordinate detailed reviews of technical work
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Document all project deliverables and maintain comprehensive records including correspondence, design plans, and other project related files
- Mentor/train junior staff
