Requirements

  • Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process
  • Certification in Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and Aerial Work Platform
  • Valid Class 5 license with an acceptable abstract, and reliable transportation to Blackfalds
  • Available to work away from home Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday
  • Minimum 40 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime
  • Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
  • The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 50lbs
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders/heights with proper safety restraints
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
  • Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction or precast concrete
  • Equipment operation skills (zoom boom, skid steer)
  • Completion of Construction Safety Training System Course (CSTS)

Responsibilities

  • Take direction and collaborate effectively with your Foreman or Site Supervisor
  • Work on-site with a crew of 2-4 in a fast-paced environment
  • General on-site laboring duties that include but are not limited to prepping construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards, stripping doors and windows, pumping water, hoarding, and tarping, putting up signs, loading and unloading material, mixing and pouring, and any other site labor that may be required
  • Safely operate a variety of equipment (zoom boom, skid steer, etc.) to load, unload and move materials and product
  • Support carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled laborers
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
