About The Position

Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control. This role is responsible for the financial management of the L/MPH location, including month-end closing, gathering information, cutoff, booking journal entries, creation and review of financials, and overseeing daily/weekly accounting. The position involves working within a BPCS ERP environment, reviewing existing practices, and making recommendations for process improvements to maximize ERP utilization and data visibility, including queries and report development. The Site Controller will review, analyze, and report on L/MPH margins monthly, evaluate complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements to identify trends and recommend improvements. This role directs the preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts. The Site Controller will work with the Local management team to analyze and identify CAPEX needs and support the development of the business plan for the upcoming fiscal year. The role interprets and applies corporate financial policies and accounting theory, and makes recommendations to management regarding continuous improvement opportunities and profitability improvement strategies. The Site Controller coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. This position assists the organization's Corporate Controller in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate requirements. The Site Controller administers and reviews the Expense Management platform for all local cardholders, analyzes customer financials to determine creditworthiness and suggested payment terms. Other duties include monthly department expense review, bank borrowing base preparation, reporting for A/R insurance, sales tax, T&E expense report generation and maintenance, working with and providing information to Financial Auditors, bank reconciliation updates, consolidation of financials, costing, and ad hoc reporting and analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in Accounting from an accredited four-year college/university and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Manufacturing Software (BPCS/AS400) Accounting software and MS Office.
  • CPA/CMA desirable.

Responsibilities
