About The Position

Woolpert is seeking a Sr. Stormwater Site/Civil Engineer to join their Water Team in Pennsylvania. This role is crucial for technical delivery on projects, reporting, and enhancing team technical competency, quality, and efficiency. The position will support stormwater and energy clients in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and nationally, focusing on Water Resources Design, Drainage Design, Utilities Design, Site Civil Design, Process Improvement, and related studies. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Biosystems, or a related engineering program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain within 3 months of joining.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain PE licensure in additional states.
  • Willingness to perform technical tasks and ensure the completion of additional tasks by other team members.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to interface effectively with clients, team members, and other firm resources.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software (e.g., Hydraflow or HydroCad).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of project information and data.

  • Task and personnel management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support various phases of Site/Civil projects for energy clients in Pennsylvania, focusing on stormwater and erosion/sediment control design and permitting.
  • Prepare all permitting documents for zoning permit approval through NPDES stormwater permit approval.
  • Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables and lead a junior team member in creating deliverables consistent with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to junior team members and perform quality control of their deliverables.
  • Manage phases of projects, ensuring completion of work that meets quality assurance requirements.
  • Perform field work and attend public meetings as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret information, including field data, to present to clients.
  • Meet internal and/or external project deadlines.
  • Comply with and implement clearly defined QA/QC measures.
  • Communicate issues affecting phase/task or project schedule, budget, or quality and escalate unresolved issues to the project manager, team leader, and/or discipline leader.
  • Support the development and advancement of stormwater design projects considering local regulatory requirements and design standards.
  • Analyze and interpret stormwater model results for project development and capital improvement program planning.
