About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Project Engineer for its Raleigh, North Carolina office. The role is part of the site/civil team and offers the opportunity to take on responsibility while contributing to community projects and collaborating with professionals on a variety of work. Typical projects include site/civil design for commercial and industrial development, higher education, parks and recreation, capital improvements, water and wastewater, and roadways.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience directly related to the design and construction of land development and capital improvement projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credential required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Water CAD, Storm CAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Design site/civil development projects, including grading, utilities, roadways, storm water management systems, and erosion and sediment control.
• Prepare associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Work on design teams across project stages to develop detailed construction plan documents.
• Conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permits.
