About The Position

A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Site Civil Engineer for their Indianapolis team! This role involves serving as a technical lead for site civil/land development projects, preparing and overseeing site design, and leading the development of construction documents. The engineer will also perform hydrology and hydraulic analyses, coordinate with various stakeholders, support entitlement and permitting efforts, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in site civil / land development design
PE License
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Demonstrated experience leading technical design tasks and coordinating project teams
Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater design, and permitting
Familiar with local jurisdictional standards and permitting processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical lead for site civil/land development projects
Prepare/oversee site design (grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway improvements)
Lead development of construction documents, calculations, and technical exhibits
Perform/review hydrology and hydraulic analyses and stormwater management designs
Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and project managers
Support entitlement/permitting efforts with local jurisdictions and reviewing agencies
Mentor/train junior staff
Review work prepared by junior engineers and provide technical guidance
Participate in client meetings and assist with responding to agency review comments
Apply/interpret applicable local, state, and federal codes and design standards
Support quality control and consistency across project deliverables
