About The Position
A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Site Civil Engineer for their Indianapolis team!
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in site civil / land development design
- PE License
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Demonstrated experience leading technical design tasks and coordinating project teams
- Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater design, and permitting
- Familiar with local jurisdictional standards and permitting processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical lead for site civil/land development projects
- Prepare/oversee site design (grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway improvements)
- Lead development of construction documents, calculations, and technical exhibits
- Perform/review hydrology and hydraulic analyses and stormwater management designs
- Coordinate with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and project managers
- Support entitlement/permitting efforts with local jurisdictions and reviewing agencies
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Review work prepared by junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Participate in client meetings and assist with responding to agency review comments
- Apply/interpret applicable local, state, and federal codes and design standards
- Support quality control and consistency across project deliverables
