About The Position

Ledcor Technical Services has built and serviced communications networks for customers across North America since 1979, delivering tailored solutions with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety. The Site Acquisition Manager oversees site acquisition and permitting activities for telecommunications projects and coordinates with local, state, and federal approving authorities. The role partners with engineering teams to address complex permitting and zoning challenges, leads site acquisition professionals, and manages project milestones and forecasts to keep work progressing on schedule. It has full Profit & Loss responsibility and requires 25–50% travel.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree from a recognized program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience leading and scaling teams.
• 10+ years of telecommunications permitting experience, including right-of-way and leasing experience.
• Ability to understand zoning codes and real estate documents.
• Ability to read and comprehend legal documents, including surveys, ground leases, easements, deeds, land purchase contracts, mortgages, title policies, subordination documents, and CAD drawings.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles.
• Ability to set strategy and execute it on time.
• Ability to read and negotiate contracts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with navigating industry-standard GIS systems.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol requirements.
• Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement of all necessary land-use approvals from local, state, and/or federal authorities for a portfolio of telecommunications sites across multiple scopes.
• Coordinate internal and external activities to accurately forecast permit submittals and approvals.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in telecommunications permitting and in the local market.
• Serve as the full-cycle New Site Build site acquisition subject matter expert.
• Lead and develop a team of site acquisition specialists across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee document control and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Execute the Quality Plan and ensure the accuracy of information, documents, deliverables, and forecasts provided to clients.
• Resolve complex zoning and permitting issues.
• Expedite work to decrease turnaround times from submittal to receipt.
• Negotiate ground lease terms and utility easements with landowners.
• Work safely and independently.
• Manage full Profit & Loss responsibility.
