About The Position

Schochet is currently hiring a Site Accountant. Requirements

One to two years of accounting experience required.
Must be a self-starter with excellent phone and customer service skills.
Must be able to professionally handle resident rent collections.

Responsibilities

Collect and enter rent payments into the YARDI accounting system.
Research open receivables including resident balances and HAP balances.
Contact residents when necessary.
Process payables in Yardi Payscan system.
Code invoices per budget and follow proper steps for payment processing.
Set up new vendors and manage vendor COIs.
Collect and submit replacement reserve requests.
Month-end close.
Post repayment agreements.
Calculate annual Security deposit and sent notices and perform final deposit accounting for move-outs.
