About The Position

Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SE&TC) integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. The Effectors Center in the SE&TC Directorate is seeking an Airframe Integration Technology Lead focused on Component Integration, Airframe Integration, and Integration of these elements with Production as part of the program’s Munitions Acceleration. In this role you will be hands-on, supporting daily activities in lab and production spaces. This position is Onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of eight (7) years of prior relevant experience.
  • Integration, build, and test processes experience within a production environment
  • Experience leading a team in a test environment with emphasis in test execution.
  • Experience in concisely communicating within engineering, operations, and program leadership

Responsibilities

  • Will be a core team member of the program’s Munitions Acceleration Team improving the foundation of existing engineering and processes while increasing rates and simultaneously implementing new designs in RTX Integration & Test Facility (ITF).
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, build processes, and testing activities of new configurations in both engineering and production environments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with technical requirements, and minimize impacts to production throughput
  • Perform data collection activities at component & missile levels, including review and analysis of data elements, and provide feedback to engineering & operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of components, manage build configurations, and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity
  • Perform integration, verification, and field qualification testing to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements
  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with formal testing.
  • Support on-site day/night testing for durations typically for a one- or two-week.
