SIOP & Demand Management Specialist
About The Position
The SIOP & Demand Management Specialist supports aerospace customers and executes functional responsibilities for assigned commercial and military products within Safran’s OSA Actuation (HSC PMO) business segment. This role develops and maintains a rolling 18+ month consensus demand plan for Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket requirements using historical data, customer insights, and business planning tools such as VPS and the Strategic Financial Plan (SFP). The SIOP & Demand Management Specialist ensures demand plans accurately translate into shipset requirements based on aircraft mix, supporting stable production and supply chain execution. The role partners directly with Safran customers to review and align on demand plans, resolve demand discrepancies, and interpret customer contractual requirements. Internally, this position identifies demand and purchase order disconnects and coordinates with Safran buyers to ensure required PO modifications are completed prior to SAP order entry. This role maintains demand accuracy and integrity across the assigned actuation portfolio, including firm contractual purchase orders and forecasted demand for anticipated future-year orders. The SIOP & Demand Management Specialist also supports separation management initiatives, including buffer strategies, engineering activities, and supply chain cutover planning and execution.
Requirements
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities
- Performs analysis and prepare reports to ensure that demand is flowing accurately.
- Performs and/or direct day to day tasks such as order administration in SAP.
- Ensure customer contractual requirements regarding demand and order execution are appropriately executed.
- Participates as the demand owner/representative in an organization’s sales and operations planning process, to enable demand-supply balancing analysis.
- Ensures data integrity and quality by reviewing data, identifying unusual occurrences, seeking explanations, and assisting in developing corrections to prevent reoccurrences.
- Consults with functional teams such as master scheduling, program office, operations, finance, business development and product development (if applicable) to obtain relevant data and insights on demand.
- Drives cross-functional collaboration to influence the demand on the supply chain and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based on business objectives and customer segmentation.
- Drives Demand Analytics through leading indicators of forecast accuracy and bias to yield improved On Time Delivery and Inventory.
- Provides clear and concise recommendations to upper-level management on information regarding future trends and demands.
- Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders.
