About The Position

STAR7 is seeking Freelance Simultaneous Interpreters with an English to Italian language combination for an on-site assignment in Dearborn, Michigan. This role will support a customer experience event for a global automotive client, facilitating communication during technical automotive discussions. The event involves small groups of executives rotating between discussion stations to engage in informal, conversational exchanges on pre-defined topics. The interpreter will ensure smooth and accurate communication between executives and dealership representatives. This assignment may also lead to future virtual and/or on-site interpretation projects.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in English and Italian.
• Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation, preferably in corporate or business environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage informal, fast-paced group conversations professionally.
• Excellent listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills.
• Professional demeanor and reliability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in automotive, customer experience, or corporate events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional simultaneous interpretation from English into Italian.
