About The Position
The Simulator Technician II is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Ground Maintenance Driver Trainer (GMDT) systems. Duties include executing daily inspections, conducting Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), supporting system calibration, logging faults, and completing repair actions to maintain Full Mission Capable (FMC) status of assigned training devices.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience supporting simulator or electro-mechanical systems
- Proficiency with basic electronics tools and maintenance documentation
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and maintenance publications
- Must meet union/CBA qualification requirements
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Army maintenance practices preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform PMCS and functional testing on simulator hardware and software systems
- Execute corrective maintenance using schematics, manuals, and troubleshooting procedures
- Track configuration status and maintenance history in DA Form 2408-series and ISTS
- Support software loads and scenario configurations
- Adhere to all safety, security, and quality procedures in accordance with AR 350-38 and DA PAM 350-9
- Assist in coordinating PMCS travel schedules (as needed)
- Participate in internal audits and CPF compliance reporting
