Simulations Software Developer

Intuitive Machines•San Jose, CA
•$82,000 - $156,000

About The Position

Lanteris Space LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and implement software for spacecraft simulators used by internal and external customers. The position may be based in San Jose, California, or at a U.S. remote location. The role involves creating accurate software models of spacecraft components and subsystems by interpreting hardware specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and other technical documentation. The engineer will work with existing simulation codebases, develop and deploy software through CI/CD pipelines, create automated tests, and collaborate with software and systems engineers on system design and technical trade-offs. The position also includes customer-facing technical discussions, design reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. Lanteris Space Systems offers eligible employees paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and a 401(k). The successful candidate’s starting pay depends on job-related factors and work location. Stated annual base salary ranges are $82,000–$136,000 in Colorado, New Jersey, and Delaware; $90,000–$150,000 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area; and $94,000–$156,000 in California. Other states may have different ranges.
