The Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join our simulation program. This is a full-time, 12-month staff position. Our new 63,000-square-foot Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Center is the centerpiece of the Frances M. Maguire Healthcare Innovation Campus. This state-of-the-art facility features immersive simulation and skills labs where students practice clinical skills and manage complex patient scenarios in a safe, realistic environment. The Center also fosters interprofessional collaboration across nursing, allied health, and other healthcare programs, preparing graduates to excel in today’s team-based care settings. The Simulation Technician manages the daily operations, scheduling, and technical oversight of the simulation laboratories within the Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions. This position applies advanced technical, instructional, and compliance expertise to support Nursing and Health professions education through high-fidelity simulation, virtual simulation, and related technologies. Working in close collaboration with simulation coordinator/associates and faculty, the Simulation Technician implements and evaluates simulation activities that align with curriculum objectives and accreditation standards. The role requires independent judgment, strategic planning, and accountability for ensuring simulation operations meet institutional goals, safety requirements, and quality benchmarks. The Simulation Technician reports to the Dean and works closely with the Simulation Coordinator/Associates and Simulation Laboratory faculty.
