The Simulation Technician ensures the execution of appropriate equipment maintenance and inventory. Supports daily operations of the Simulation Laboratory. Troubleshoots malfunctions in low/high-fidelity simulation and training equipment. Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in a relevant clinical environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering preferred.
• Previous IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that simulation equipment is in working order and that routine maintenance is performed according to recommended schedules.
• Orders, stocks and organize laboratory supplies.
• Ensures that appropriate vendor relationships are maintained in accordance with Inova Health System policies.
• Acts as the primary point of contact to faculty during simulation sessions.
• Serves as a simulation operator by programming, testing and running scenarios with faculty.
• Obtains, prepares, cleans and replaces all equipment and supplies necessary for each simulation event.
• Operates basic and networked audio/visual equipment to record and playback scenarios for debriefing, documentation and research purposes.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
