Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years technology or Healthcare related field
  • Proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as internet and database applications.
  • Knowledge of audio/video equipment and software for recording, duplication, mixing, and editing.
  • Ability to learn new hardware and software quickly and independently.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively in team environment.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • CHSE-Cert Healthcare Simulation Educator SSH - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
  • Knowledge of patient simulation, technologies, and application.
  • Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and fix equipment failures in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to simulator functions.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as simulator operator running pre-programmed scenarios with faculty facilitators ensuring all equipment is set up for course programs, which includes restocking/replenishing supplies and cleaning of equipment.
  • Understands the use and operation of various simulator technology.
  • Schedules and records simulation events using the AV system.
  • Provides daily/monthly/quarterly maintenance to maintain the condition of manikins, task trainers, and other simulation equipment.
  • Operates digital, audiovisual hardware, and software systems to record simulation sessions with subsequent editing and transfer in an archive format for analysis.
  • Schedules Standardized Patient (SP) Program, participate in recruitment, orientation, feedback sessions, and yearly updates of SP's.
  • Provides technical assistance, support, and training to faculty, staff, and standardized patients in use of simulation equipment.
  • Participates in technical training.
  • Assists with special projects or initiatives.
