About The Position

The Simulation Foundry Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and developing moldflow and solidification analysis, creating and updating 3D CAD models, and performing CAE analysis. This role participates in the Product Launch process to improve simulation results and performance. The engineer will support the tooling and design department in developing optimized gating systems for iron, aluminum, and steel castings. They will use CAD technology such as Creo, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, or OnShape for mold designs and simulation software like Magmasoft, ProCast, or EKK for mold flow simulation, defect predictions, and solidification patterns. The position requires providing technical input during new product start-up meetings, communicating with customers and internal production areas, and liaising between customers and the manufacturing team. The role also involves research and development to improve analysis accuracy, validating designs against actual casting results, engineering and designing prototype & production tools, optimizing customer CAD files, adhering to work instructions, and providing engineering support to molding operations. There is an expectation of 10% travel within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
