The Simulation Coordinator is a registered nurse who supports the nursing simulation and skills laboratories by assisting faculty with the planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of simulation-based learning activities. Working collaboratively with faculty, the Simulation Coordinator helps facilitate learning experiences that support student achievement of course outcomes, AACN (2021) Essentials, NCLEX readiness, clinical judgment, patient safety competencies, and program outcomes. The Simulation Coordinator is responsible for the upkeep of simulation equipment, supplies, standardized patients, simulation technologies, skills laboratories, simulation-based clinical replacement experiences, faculty support related to simulation, and compliance with INACSL Standards of Best Practice, CCNE standards, and Oregon State Board of Nursing regulations. This staff position is a benefits-eligible, .75 FTE non-exempt position that extends from August-May.
