Kansas Health Science University is seeking individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds to serve as Simulated Patients (SPs) for our osteopathic medical students. Simulated Patients portray patients or individuals in various medical, behavioral, and emotional realistic healthcare scenarios, supporting future physicians to develop their clinical skills, communication techniques, professionalism, and cultural competence in a safe learning environment. We are intentionally building a diverse pool of simulated patients that reflect the communities our graduates will serve. We strongly encourage individuals of all ages, races, ethnicities, cultures, body types, gender identities, languages, abilities, and life experiences to apply. Authentic representation is an important part of medical education and helps prepare students to provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to every patient. No acting experience is required. We provide all the necessary training.
