The College of Veterinary Medicine at Utah State University is seeking simulated clients to aid in teaching professional communication skills to veterinary students. Simulated clients will study and role-play given veterinary scenarios with students and coaches, adopting the persona of an animal owner seeking veterinary guidance. This role is crucial for helping students understand the impact of clinical communication on client relationships, retention, and animal care. Simulated learning provides a practical, real-world rehearsal for students. The fall semester schedule includes classes on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with three 3-week role-play rounds from September 2nd to December 2nd. Specific dates for rehearsals and spring semester sessions will be determined later. Involvement may vary based on case and casting needs. Participants must have transportation to the USU Veterinary Medical Education Building and be prepared, prompt, and present for appointments.
