About The Position
As an SP you will be highly trained to portray all the characteristics of a real patient, a patient’s loved one, or a member of the care team, in realistic and repeatable ways. You will interact with learners in experiential education to provide an opportunity for students to learn and be evaluated. Simulated Participants provide valuable opportunities for learners to practice skills in a safe environment that is both safe and supportive of the learning process. You must take the role seriously as you are impacting patient care through education.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- General computer skills
- Previous experience in a fast paced work environment where you are comfortable receiving and integrating directions/orders.
- Comfortable dealing with care teams
- Good memory
- Excellent listening skills
- Concentration during simulation scenarios
- Accept constructive feedback
- Nonjudgmental regarding student and faculty gender, race, religion, national origin, physical characteristics, etc.
- Reliability and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an SP
- Previous experience in theater
- Previous experience in healthcare
