SimCorp Dimension Lead I SaaS Migration
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced SimCorp Dimension Specialist to lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a migration from an on-premises/self-hosted environment to the SimCorp SaaS Cloud platform. The role focuses on validating data integrity, parallel runs, and business continuity before go-live. It leans toward a Business Analyst/Operations resource, commonly described in the SimCorp Dimension world as a Functional or Business Consultant rather than a technical IT developer. The position requires deep knowledge of SimCorp Dimension workflows, multi-fund accounting structures, front-to-back asset management operations, and financial instruments. The role bridges the technical migration team, external SimCorp engineers, and internal business users, including portfolio managers, operations, and accounting teams. While it does not require writing software code, it calls for technical data skills, including advanced Excel and SQL, and an understanding of SimCorp configuration, batch jobs, and Communication Channels (DFS).
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5+ years of hands-on SimCorp Dimension configuration or testing experience, including modules such as Portfolio Calculation, Asset Manager, Investment Accounting, or Batch/DFS.
- Experience participating in a SimCorp upgrade, data migration, or transition to a Cloud/SaaS delivery model.
- Deep understanding of buy-side investment operations, asset management, and multi-fund accounting structures.
- Knowledge of financial instruments, including Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, or Private Markets.
- Advanced skills in data validation, ledger matching, and auditing complex financial datasets.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM, and automated regression testing tools used alongside SimCorp.
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills for data extraction and complex match-and-reconciliation work.
- Understanding of SimCorp configuration logic, batch jobs, and Communication Channels (DFS).
Responsibilities
- Define UAT scope, acceptance criteria, and execution timelines for the SimCorp SaaS migration.
- Design UAT scenarios covering multi-fund setups, investment operations, accounting, and third-party integrations.
- Lead validation of the Security Master, live and historical positions, cash balances, and historical NAV calculations across legacy and SaaS environments.
- Execute end-to-end tests for trade execution, settlement, corporate actions, compliance rules, and automated batch processing.
- Identify, log, and prioritize software configuration issues, environment issues, and data discrepancies; coordinate with SimCorp support and internal IT.
- Act as the liaison between the technical migration team, external SimCorp engineers, and internal portfolio management, operations, and accounting users.
- Use technical data skills to extract and compare data from legacy and SaaS systems for reconciliation.
