About The Position

Manning Forest Products in Alberta is currently recruiting for a Silviculture Supervisor. This role is responsible for all aspects of reforestation in a designated area, including developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation. The position also involves program coordination with other members of the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments, as well as monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certifications, and health and safety programs.

Requirements

• A forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma
• A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Registered Professional Forest Technologist (RPFT) designation for Alberta (or be eligible and willing to earn this designation)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven organizational skills
• A willingness to learn and undertake new challenges
• Proven Leadership experience

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ArcMap, MS Office, iPads, and GPS
