About The Position
In search of a Part-time Silver Sneakers Exercise Instructor to teach at the Schalmo Family YMCA in Canal Fulton, OH. The schedule includes every other Monday morning for two classes and every Tuesday morning. The instructor will also be able to fill in at the Schalmo Family YMCA and Paul & Carol David YMCA (Jackson Township) as needed. The starting rate is $11.00 - $16.00.
Requirements
- Willing to specialize in the Senior population, training provided
- Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
- Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
Nice To Haves
- Able to teach multiple formats, preferred
Responsibilities
- Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
- Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
- Serve as a good role model
- Communicate with team members
- Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
