About The Position

We are seeking a 1st shift Silk Screener. The Silk Screener is responsible for applying silk screening, coatings, and finishing materials to manufactured parts and components according to customer specifications and production requirements. This role sets up and operates screening and paint equipment, prepares and masks parts, inspects finished products for quality, and maintains equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions and blueprints, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong integrity, reliability, and commitment to company values.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to read fine print and distinguish colors accurately.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Candidate(s) must be a U.S. Person within the meaning of the law or obtain an export control license.

  • 2–5 years of painting or coating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare components for coating by cleaning, masking, plugging, and fixturing according to specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain silk screening, spray, and coating equipment for proper applications
  • Mix coatings and paints per specifications, adjusting for consistency and environmental conditions.
  • Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, or other approved methods to meet quality and production standards.
  • Operate batch ovens and related equipment as specified in work orders.
  • Inspect parts before, during, and after coating for defects, coverage, and color consistency; make necessary adjustments.
  • Unmask, unplug, and package finished components as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and serviced.
  • Provide training and guidance to coworkers on proper part preparation and coating techniques.
  • Accurately complete all required production, inspection, and quality documentation.
  • Partner with the Production Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineers to create training documents and SOPs
  • Comply with ISO Quality Management System requirements, departmental procedures, and all safety standards.
