About The Position

Steven Label manufactures labels, overlays, membrane switches, sensors, product instructions for use (IFUs) and folding cartons — largely for the medical device industry. We provide our customers with some unique and valuable resources, including: A proprietary on-line system that permits order placement, tracking and art submission. ISO 13485 procedures to ensure quality products are delivered on time. 2 major manufacturing locations in California, 1 in Arizona and 1 in Mexico with broad capabilities including screen, flexographic, offset and digital printing. Support of Vendor Managed Inventory programs. In-house engineering expertise in the manufacture of membrane switches and medical sensors. Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the silk screen printing process.
  • Ability to work with tight registrations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in press maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to log and document equipment maintenance activities.
  • Willingness to be cross trained in other areas as needed.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions in English.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating Atma and Sakurai presses preferred.
  • Knowledge of color matching is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up silkscreen presses, including screens, inks, and substrates, according to work order specifications.
  • Operate silkscreen printing presses to ensure consistent print quality, proper alignment, and tight registration throughout production runs.
  • Monitor print quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on presses, screens, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to press operation, ink consistency, substrates, or registration.
  • Monitor inventory levels of inks, screens, and support supplies; request replenishment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, print times, maintenance logs, and any issues encountered.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
