About The Position

ABBA Roller is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Press Operator) responsible for operating molding presses to produce high-quality products in accordance with production schedules and work instructions. This role ensures products meet quality standards while maintaining safety, efficiency, and proper documentation throughout the manufacturing process. ABBA Roller specializes in high-performance urethane rollers and custom elastomer solutions for industrial and commercial applications. Our team supports customers across diverse industries with durable, precision-engineered products. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 0–4 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred, ideally in a molded manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating presses, molding equipment, or similar manufacturing machinery is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow standard work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret production routers, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing safety practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate molding presses as assigned by the production schedule or Molding Foreman.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products from molds and tooling.
  • Read, understand, and follow production routers and work instructions (English or Spanish), and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain production rates and efficiencies that support company goals.
  • Perform in-process visual inspections to verify product quality and document inspection results.
  • Maintain proper product identification and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and submit Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) forms when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Conduct monthly audits of expired materials, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
