Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Logic and circuit design
  • RTL Design / coding
  • Verilog / VHDL
  • System Verilog
  • Open source software development
  • Experience may be gained through undergraduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
  • Evaluate and develop all aspects of process flow from high level design to verification of complex integrated circuits.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Under supervision, exercise limited judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.
