About The Position

The St. Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works is looking for two individuals interested in becoming Signal Technicians. The signal technicians will be responsible for installing and repairing electronic traffic signals and controllers throughout St. Louis County. The typical starting salary range will be $25.45 - $30.54 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. There will be a $6.00/hour increase when reporting for emergency snow duty. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy. Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from a Technical school or Associate’s Degree in electronics and one year of experience repairing or maintaining electronic devices and control systems.
  • Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks associated with the installation, repair, and upkeep of electronic traffic signals and controllers.
  • Perform assigned duties during mandatory snow shift, as required.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
