Signal Processing Engineer - ISA

HawkEye 360Richardson, TX

About The Position

Innovative Signal Analysis (ISA) is seeking new engineering talent with an emphasis on signal analysis, real time algorithm development, high performance computing, and DSP. ISA is a leading provider of real-time signal and image processing systems for the government and remains dedicated to the development of high-performance signal processing solutions. ISA works in all phases from concept design, through development and integration, to operations and maintenance of challenging mission critical systems, with offices in Richardson, TX and Aurora, CO.

  • Matlab: able to prototype algorithms
  • C/C++: able to translate algorithms to code
  • UNIX scripting, agile processes, configuration management
  • Ability to develop readable and efficient code
  • Cognizant of computers/SW architecture (cache, heap versus stack, etc.)
  • Familiar with revision control (GIT, Jira)
  • The ability to span the spectrum from the theoretical algorithm development to a real time implementation.
  • Strong communication skills, including documentation and presenting results internally and externally to the customer (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint experience).
  • Team player that enjoys working in a small company environment.
  • Willing to learn.

  • Position requires TS and ability to obtain SSBI (including polygraph).

Responsibilities

  • Digital signal processing: FFTs, FIR and IIR filtering, spectral estimation, quantization, etc.
  • Estimation theory: Cramer Rao lower bounds, least-squares estimators, maximum likelihood estimation, etc.
  • Detection theory: Neyman-Pearson theorem, matched filters, coherent versus non-coherent detection, etc.
  • Probability theory: Gaussian random variables, random processes, chi-squared random variables, etc.
  • Radar principles: coherent versus non-coherent radar signals, the cross-ambiguity function, geo-observable generation and geolocation
  • Communication theory: digital modulation types, equalization, concept of spread spectrum, etc.
  • Geolocation: geo-observable generation, TDOA, AOA, etc.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) desired

Benefits

  • We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations.
  • We are also open to considering candidates with experience and qualifications at a different level than required in a job posting, which may affect the compensation package offered.
