Position: Signal Integrity Validation Lead (Individual Contributor) We are seeking a highly experienced Signal Integrity Validation Lead to drive electrical validation and characterization for next-generation data center server platforms. This is an individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and ownership of validation strategy across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in high-speed I/O validation at silicon, package, or system/board level
  • Strong fundamentals in signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level debug methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed lab instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, BERTs, VNAs, TDR)
  • Experience with validation of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, or Ethernet
  • Proven ability to drive validation execution, debug complex issues, and deliver against program schedules
  • Experience with test automation and data analysis (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar)
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience with demonstrated impact at Staff / Senior Staff level
  • Experience owning validation strategy across multiple programs or platforms
  • Deep expertise in high-speed SerDes architectures, including CTLE, DFE, FFE/de-emphasis, clocking, and jitter analysis
  • Experience correlating lab measurements with simulation (e.g., channel modeling, IBIS-AMI)
  • Track record of defining or scaling validation methodologies adopted across teams or organizations
  • Experience leading large or complex validation efforts with broad organizational impact
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance bodies (e.g., PCI-SIG, JEDEC, IEEE)
  • Passion for engineering excellence, quality, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive signal integrity validation strategy, execution, and methodologies across multiple platforms and programs
  • Lead end-to-end electrical validation and characterization for high- and low-speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, SPI, JTAG, I3C, I2C)
  • Define and standardize validation practices, including compliance, margining, correlation to simulation, and debug workflows
  • Partner with architecture, hardware, and SI/PI design teams to influence design decisions and enable first-pass success
  • Architect and scale lab infrastructure, including advanced measurement setups, automation frameworks, and data analysis pipelines
  • Lead complex system bring-up and deep debug, driving root cause analysis across silicon, package, board, and system levels
  • Drive interoperability validation across components and external vendors to ensure ecosystem readiness
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship; elevate validation methodologies and execution standards across teams
  • Communicate validation status, risks, and technical insights to senior leadership and program management
