About The Position

We are seeking a Signal and Power Integrity engineer with strong capabilities in SI/PI aspects of architectural direction and product development. The candidate must have knowledge of all aspects of Signal and Power Integrity for high-speed SerDes, parallel bus, memory, flexes deployed in portable consumer electronics devices, and system power delivery network (PDN). The engineer will play an integral role in developing innovative technologies and new products.

Requirements

  • M.S. Degree in EE or related field with relevant industry-level work experience.
  • Strong EE fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong academic background in EM theory and coupling mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of Signal Integrity for high-speed SerDes, parallel bus, single-ended signaling, as well as Power Integrity.
  • Hands-on experience in EM and circuit simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS/Maxwell/SIWave, CST, ADS/Spice/Spectre, Cadence/Sigrity, scripting languages (Python, Perl).
  • Measurement expertise with frequency and time domain tools (VNA, Spectrum analyzer, TDR, Oscilloscope).
  • A passion for engineering, the ability to work independently, and a demonstrated ability to innovate are required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in EE or related field with a minimum of 3~5 years of experience.
  • A strong background in system-level signal and power integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the electrical and physical design of high-speed interface systems.
  • Work on the electrical extraction and validation of PCB and FLEX.
  • Work with connector/Cable/FLEX vendors to optimize design and guarantee robustness.
  • SI and PI modeling, simulation, and characterization of high-speed interfaces, and PDN.
  • Perform feasibility study, design verification, and sign-off.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate signal and power integrity.
  • Work with manufacture and system engineering to debug and improve product yield.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to solve and enhance SIPI issues that affect Desense and EMI.
