About The Position

Killington and Pico Resorts strive to provide our guests unforgettable experiences, and signage is an important part of that experience. It goes beyond providing directions; it plays a crucial role in communicating important information while ensuring the resort looks cohesive and presentable. As a member of the Killington Brand Marketing and Communications team, the Sign Shop Technician is responsible for printing, producing and installing a wide range of resort signage based on requests from various departments at Killington Resort and Pico Mountain.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the resort
  • Must be comfortable using a variety of power tools
  • Excellent attitude, self-motivating, detail oriented, task oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications such as Microsoft Teams and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and willingness to collaborate with others
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to work outdoors weekly when signage installation is required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Basecamp or other project management tools
  • Knowledge of large format printers and printing materials is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operate large format printer to print on a variety of materials: vinyl, paper, banner, etc.
  • Perform basic routine maintenance of machinery including printer, laminator, and substrate cutter
  • Adhere printed signage to substrate material such as dibond,coroplast, styrene, and metal
  • Cut materials with substrate cutter and x-acto knifes
  • Report to Creative Design & Production Supervisor ensuring projects are completed accurately and on time
  • Install signage throughout the resort on a weekly basis, including use of drills, heat guns, and ladders. Must be comfortable working in inclement weather.
  • Collaborate with the Junior Designer & Production Coordinator to prioritize and complete projects aligned with submitted requests.
  • Work cross-functionally with other resort departments to complete projects efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on brand related idea generation.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license to transport signage for installations and walkthroughs (may include use of work truck or personal vehicle when necessary)
  • Other duties as assigned
