About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Sign & Lighting Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining illuminated signage and lighting systems for commercial customers. You’ll work in the field, often at heights, using a company vehicle and provided tools/support.
Requirements
- Must be willing to obtain or currently enrolled in an Apprentice Electrical License (State of Michigan)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Minimum requirement: Michigan Chauffeur’s License (or eligibility to obtain after job offer)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in illuminated signs and lighting systems
- Troubleshoot sign circuits and lighting components in the field
- Perform service calls at customer locations
- Work safely at elevated heights (ladders, lifts, rooftops as required)
- Provide professional and courteous customer service on-site
- Maintain accurate service documentation
