About The Position

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a motivated and eager Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. The Apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn the skills necessary for a successful career in automotive repair and maintenance.

Requirements

Applicable certifications and trainings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in automotive repair and maintenance.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with team members.
Basic problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and documenting work.
Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with automotive repair.

Responsibilities

Participate in hands-on training and development to learn the fundamentals of automotive repair and maintenance.
Assist experienced service technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Learn to use various tools and equipment safely and effectively, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks under supervision.
Accurately document repair and maintenance work performed on vehicles, ensuring all records are up-to-date and complete.
Assist in identifying and sourcing parts required for vehicle repairs and learn inventory management procedures.
Occasionally interact with customers to understand their concerns and provide updates on the status of their vehicles.
Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and development opportunities.
