About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring an ASL Interpreter for a school-based position in New Orleans, LA. This role involves interpreting spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa, providing interpretation services in professional settings such as educational environments. Strong listening skills, memory retention, and clear expressive signing are essential, along with collaboration with staff and clients to ensure effective communication access.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Proof of passing/completion certificate of an ASL Interpretation course
Possess a good memory since an interpreter will need to remember what has been said in order to accurately translate
Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development

Nice To Haves

Educational Interpreter certification - this can be obtained through us!
National certification by RID certification is preferred
