About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an ASL Interpreter for the 2026-2027 school year in the Tucson, AZ area. This is a part-time, per diem position, meaning there are no guaranteed set hours. The role involves interpreting for district/board meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other events requiring an interpreter. Requirements

• Licensed through the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH)
• Active Arizona OT License
• Hold an EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher, RID certification, OR NAD Level III certification
• Active Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

Nice To Haves

• Experience in school-based settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Interpret district/board meetings, parent teacher conferences and other meetings or events that require an interpreter
• Support district meetings/events as needed
