About The Position
The Sign Language Aide (LRE) - Southeast Career Tech Academy position is a one-on-one role requiring 9 months of employment and 6 hours per day. The primary function is to provide support through sign language interpretation and assistance.
Requirements
- High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Signing abilities as determined by a Clark County School District (CCSD) approved test.
- A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
- Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
Nice To Haves
- Education Interpreter Performance Assessment score of 2.4 and above.
- One (1) year experience working with special education children.
