About The Position

The Sights Assembly Operator I is responsible for operating various stations within the sights line which produces assembled and packaged sights for firearm slides. They will handle various materials and finished goods as part of assembly and packing and process them through the various stages of assembly and packing including visual quality inspection. Working in a team environment, the Sights Manufacturing Operator I will work with Engineering, Quality, and Machine Technicians.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read and understand work instructions.
Ability to read and complete required paperwork which includes performing required calculations on work instructions, scrap documentation and control plans.
Must be able to convey ideas and information clearly, concisely and accurately to others, both verbally and in written form.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Basic working knowledge of Oracle and the ability to perform some system data entry.
Ability to complete assigned tasks on time.
Adhere to work schedules in order to meet production deadlines and targets.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed defined production performance standards.
Retrieve necessary components and stage them at the appropriate loading stations.
Effectively operate all stations within the Sights Assembly and Packaging Line.
Be able to troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues at each station.
Perform visual quality checks accordingly for each station of the Sights Assembly and Packaging Line.
Report any potential quality issues to operation management.
Perform specific shift tasks related to work area preparation and end of shift work area cleaning and organizing.
The Sights Operator I will be cross-trained to perform duties in both Loading and Packaging functions.
Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts, or work in other functional areas and/or facilities based on business needs.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
