About The Position

Northwood Club, a premier country club established in 1946, is seeking a shuttle driver to safely transport passengers from the property to designated employee off-site parking facilities. The role involves operating vehicles according to safety regulations, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to strict schedules. The ideal candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Effective communication to members, staff and between departments is required daily.
  • Professional language and vocabulary will be used at all times.
  • May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Frequently sits; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears.
  • Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be at least age 18.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and speak English required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the employee may be required to communicate with English speaking members or co-workers, the manuals for equipment the employee may use are in English).
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to sit for long periods and assist passengers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in driving passenger vehicles or customer service is often preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Driving shuttle vans safely along pre-determined routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Greeting passengers warmly, assisting with boarding/exiting.
  • Adhering to timely schedules and planned routes, while notifying security of delays or accidents.
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fuel levels and fluid levels.
  • Maintaining a clean and comfortable vehicle interior for passengers.
  • Using radio or phone to communicate with security and team members.
  • Maintaining flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
  • Attending staff meetings and training when required.
