About The Position

TransWest moves people to work, school, or play via shuttle, bus, charter, or valet. They partner with leading companies to create personalized transportation systems and hospitality experiences, aiming to reduce stress and simplify travel. The Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing day-to-day vehicle operations, ensuring vehicles are on time and on route. This role requires problem-solving abilities and quick action to address issues, serving as the primary contact for drivers and supervisors regarding delays, rerouting, accidents, and other operational concerns to maintain service standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Previous dispatch experience required
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize while multitasking under pressure and within short time constraints
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work independently and professionally with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TripShot, Samsara or other dispatching software preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vehicles and routes on dispatch monitors and react to changes and issues.
  • Ensure dispatch programs (TripShot, Samsara, other) are accurate with vehicle, driver, and route assignments.
  • Update and/or create new routes as needed.
  • Monitor Samsara Data for driver check-ins/check-outs, geo-fencing, driver registration, and support Fleet Manager for non-reporting units.
  • Manage WIFI uptime and resetting through the online portal.
  • Proactively communicate with clients via push notifications, emails, and phone calls.
  • Communicate with Managers/Supervisors regarding delays, driver/vehicle issues, late check-ins, late routes, and other critical service information.
  • Monitor client email inboxes and respond to emails.
  • Assist with lost and found items.
  • Answer dispatch phones regarding shuttle issues/delays.
  • Create and monitor on-time performance and recommend route changes to improve service.
  • Create and pull reports from TripShot and Samsara to measure success.
  • Communicate with clients via email and telephone to address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure high-quality service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
